CONNECTING MUSIC MAKERS AND CONTENT CREATORS
Hi HUMTOO music makers. We'd like to invite you to submit music for our project called: Weekending.
It is a short film that will be broadcast worldwide.
The project is long and unfortunately has no budget for music but we will credit you and it may be broadcast earning you royalties.
Please write your music to the video file we have uploaded.
We would need all music pitches by 30/10/2008, but we may decide to end the project early if we find something suitable before that date.
We are after music of the Any genre.
HUMTOO's player will automatically sync your music with the video we may have provided. This player features a crossfader that will mix your music with any existing audio on the movie including voiceovers, so there is no need to include any of that audio in your mixes.
Thanks and please message us if you have any questions.
Additional notes:
, Hello all!
This is my first post, so I'm not entirely sure how this works. Any questions - please don't hesitate to ask!
Once the short has finished filming on 26th October 2008 I would like to edit it for 1 week and then discuss music options. The synopsis so far is the following:
A young professional woman from London, Emma, is taken by her friend, Jake, to the country side for a weekend. Jake tries hard to entertain Emma and perhaps woo her but he can’t help her feeling indifferent. Walking in the field surrounded by forests Emma and Jake find an abandoned calf. The calf’s helplessness touches her profoundly. Getting more and more drawn in to the calf Emma decides to stay the night with it despite Jake’s and the briefly appearing owner farmer's advice that it needs to be left to die. She brings it milk, and falls asleep next to it. Jake tries one last time to convince her to leave the calf and go to the cabin, but fails. Defeated, he brings the two blankets before going to sleep. When Emma wakes up, the calf is dead. Emma jumps to her feet, shocked, then a look of pity is replaced by deep sadness. We cut to two further wider angles of her standing over the dead calf – Emma’s worldview is going to change forever. The film ends.
Unfortunately the budget is extremely small, so I will not be able to pay for compositions. But the equipment that we will be using is very good quality - the Red Camera and great lenses that we managed to borrow for free, of course. So there is a high likelihood that the final product will be entered into many festivals to be seen by a wide audience!
Looking forward to hearing from anyone interested!
All the best,
Anna Avramenko
